Disposal is a matter of trust

A great amount of importance is placed on the selection of the waste company in order to avoid claims for compensation in respect of waste disposal processes. In accordance with a judgement of the Federal Administrative Court, the obligation of the owner of the waste does not cease upon the transfer of the ownership of the waste to the waste company. As a result it does not depend on whether the owner of the waste violates legal obligations or whether the lack of ability of the waste company should have been recognised. His liability continues even after relinquishing ownership up to the conclusion of the disposal process. In this respect, he is also liable for a possible wrongdoing of his waste disposer.
